Scholarship funds from Raise the Nation Foundation Child of a Single Parent Woman Scholarship

The Raise the Nation Foundation sponsors many types of scholarships and grants to single women and their children. 

The Child of a Single Parent Scholarship is given to dependent children of single women who may not be able for other types of financial expenses due to their dependent status. For applying this, you must have under the age of 24 years old and your mother must have to claim you as a dependent on the federal and state tax filings. Scholarships are available in varying amounts for the students who are enrolled or planning to enroll in an accredited post-secondary degree program.

Crane Funds for Widows and Children Scholarship

If you are a student who is going to attend Indiana University and you are a child of a single parent who is a widow, then you are eligible to get the scholarship from the Crane Fund for Widows and Children. To apply for the scholarship, you have to enroll in the university’s school of Applied Health Science, either at the undergraduate or graduate level. 

If you are a child of a widow, you must be able to demonstrate financial need to be considered for an award. Even, the minimum scholarship amount is available for $750. The amount may vary on the individual’s circumstances and also on the available funding amount.

Carolina Covenant Scholarship

If you are a child of s single-parent household and you enrolled in the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, then the Carolina Covenant Scholarship program can potentially meet 100 percent of your financial requirement in paying for college. 

You must be considered as a dependant, enrolled full-time, and also pursuing your first-year undergraduate degree if you want to qualify for the Carolina Covenant scholarship.

Based on your family’s size, for financial needs, your family’s adjusted gross income must be at or below the university’s established limits. This program covers the education costs for four years of study and along with this; some students will also be eligible to receive a university grant so they can purchase a laptop computer for their selves.

American Legion Legacy Scholarship

You may be eligible for an American Legion Legacy Scholarship if you are a child of a single parent who lost their spouse as a result of the active-duty of military service. 

To apply for this scholarship, you must be a dependent child of a surviving parent and be a high school senior or recent high school graduate. 

This award or scholarship is given to only children whose parents died during the active-duty of military service on or following September 11, 2001. The scholarship awards are providing in varying amounts on a different basis such as for undergraduate study at an accredited college or university in the U.S.
